Ingredients: |
putnalu or veinchina sanaga pappu-1cup,
dry coconut-half cup,
salt-1tsp.
for seasoning-
mustard seeds,
jeera,
split urad-
1tsp each,4-5
red chillies-broken,
oil-1tbsp. |

Process: |
| coaresly grind coconut and add putnalu and grind till putnalu also are coarsely ground.add salt and mix thoroughly.heat oil and temper.add hing,if you like.mix it with powder and serve with hot rice and a dash of ghee.goes very well with avakai also.another healthier variation is you grind putnalu,dry red chilliesand salt coarsely and add raw onion pieces and turn the grinder only for 30secs.serve without popu.but you can add hot oil while mixing it with rice.if you are adding it to dosa or idly make sure to grind it more.also add adash of tamarind and 2-3 garlic pods while using for dosa or idly for that extra zing. |
